13a on 12/16/1868 front from Tacuarembo to Montevideo.  Green Tacaurembo double oval ccl in green ties stamp and Montevideo receiving CDS iu black.  A tattered and repaired item, but still small town scarce $50  SCAN

23 August 31, 1864 entire letter from Montevideo to Buenos Aires, stmap is neatly tied by Montivideo CDS, very attractive, $200  PHOTO

31 Bisect on a front from Salto to Montevideo, neatly tied with a FRANCA blue box cancel and dated February 13, 1886  This is only a month after the stamps were issued so it appears that Salto ran out of 5c stamps quite quickly.  Interesting piece of postal history, with normal file folds and a stain but very scarce, $65. 222 on 1921 registered cover from Montevideo to Elberfeld, Germany.  Reverse has 5 wax seals and receiving stamp Nov 24, 1921.  Purple 20 in triangle Postage Due marking with manuscript 23 indicating 23 pfennig due from recipient, nice and clean.  $4  PHOTO

228 on an attractive cover to Mar del Plata (Argentina),  Estafeta Abulante 33 marking, small tear running down top, does not affect stamp, receiving cancel on rev, $25  PHOTO
